Armed with the Truth: Who is the Real Jesus?

Too many people in our culture try to reinvent Jesus to fit their own agendas. They paint Him as a businessman, a political figure, or a social activist. But if we are going to boldly fight for the truth of Jesus Christ, we have to know the True Jesus Christ.

In 1 Timothy 6:20-21, Paul charges Timothy: “Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge.”

To stand firm, we have to look past the foolishness of the culture and anchor our hearts in what the Bible actually says about who Jesus is.

The Blueprint of the King

Scripture gives us a clear, unwavering profile of Christ:

He is the Beginning (Alpha): Jesus existed before time began; He is God Himself, present at creation. As Genesis 1:26 reminds us, God said, “Let us make human beings in our image…”
He is the Promised Messiah: He is the long-awaited Savior woven throughout historical lineage.
He Came to Save Sinners: Jesus didn’t come to judge the world, but to rescue us from our sins through a real, physical, and painful death on a cross.
He Overcame the Grave: Three days after His execution, He rose from the dead.
He is the End (Omega): He ascended into heaven with a promise to return, and He will have the final word in human history.

When we hold on to this complete picture of Jesus, our faith shifts from a fragile opinion to an unshakeable reality.

In what ways have you subconsciously tried to reshape Jesus into your own image or fit Him into a specific cultural box?
Looking at Christ’s identity as the Alpha and Omega, what areas of your life do you need to surrender to His ultimate authority?

Call to Action

Don’t let your faith be fueled by the world’s “so-called knowledge.” Spend 15 minutes in the Gospel of Luke this week. Commit to studying the real Jesus so that when the culture challenges your faith, you can answer with absolute clarity.
